It’s a celebratory landmark as Wolves Fancast, the original and longest running Wolves Podcast, hits 400 episodes in February.
Wolves Fancast originally began life in 2007 as part of the football news site ‘footballfancast.com‘ and chronicled the up and downs of Wolves fans during Mick McCarthy’s failed play off push.
Showrunner David Evans, along with Adam Thompson and Vinny Banks provided the first Wolves podcast as the show hit the internet airwaves.
After a bit of a hiatus, the podcast came back in 2010 during Wolves’ last Premier League run and has now grown into one of the leading digital platforms on Wolves.
To celebrate this landmark episode, we’re putting together a show to not only commemorate another century of episodes, but one you can be involved in!
On Friday 7th February we’ll be recording our award winning podcast at the Lych Gate Tavern in Wolverhampton City Centre.
From 7pm we will be discussing fan memories of key games in the last 30 years or so.
The playoff final to being in Istanbul. A penalty shootout win against Sheffield Wednesday to a incredible comeback against Leicester.
We want to know how you followed the game and your memories of the day.
Did you watch it live? Or have to follow it on the radio in a random field?
Meet the love of your life or make friends you’ll never forget on that day? We want to share different angles of these events.
We also want you to be involved! Have you ever wanted to be on the podcast or just have your two minutes rant on them Wolves?
Now here’s your chance.
Pop along to our recording (we’ll be in the corner of the pub somewhere) and share with us your stories.
Or, have a drink with us during or after the recording and into the night.
Whether you’re a long time listener, first time podcaster or just a fellow Wolves fan who fancies a couple of beers, join us for an evening to celebrate another century of Wolves Fancast.
‘What the hell is a Fancast?’ we here you ask?
