Five days into Fancast Advent and we’ve gone for a Fancast favourite – Richard Stearman
There have been few players who have had an arc to their Wolves career like Stearman.
After signing as a skinny yet very promising defender in 2008, he won plaudits in his his season after earning a place in the Championship team of the year as Wolves finished champions.
His age told during Wolves time in the Premier League, with performances error prone and without the youthful confidence he had shown before.
After falling out of favour during the disastrous 2012/13 season, Stearman went on out on loan to Ipswich.
Many thought he would leave when Wolves were relegated to League 1, but it proved to be the making of him. He grew to become a leader of a young team and ironed out the silly errors out of his game.
Last season, Stearman stepped up once again and went on to win Wolves Player of the Year and the most treasured awards, the Fancast Player of the Season.
Stearman moved to Fulham during the summer because of football reasons. But what Wolves would do to have him in the back line now.
