Wolves will play Chelsea at Molineux this Christmas Eve with the game kicking off at one o’clock.
This is the first game to be played on Christmas Eve in the Premier League since 1995 when Leeds United beat Manchester United 3-1.
Wolves will be in search of three points after two disappointing results with a draw against Nottingham Forest and a 3-0 loss against West Ham.
The visitors Chelsea come into the game following a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge against Sheffield United and a win in the EFL Cup quarterfinals against Newcastle when they won 4-2 in a penalty shootout.
Wolves fans will be excited to know that Christmas could come a day early, with Gary O’Neil hoping Pedro Neto will be fit enough to be back in the squad. Rayan Ait-Nouri also returned against West Ham and could be expected to get more minutes on Sunday.
The injury list continues for Chelsea with a number of players out; starting with newly promoted club captain Reece James. Enzo Fernandez could also be rested due to illness. A few other names on the injury list include; Carney Chukwuemeka, Trevor Chalobah, Ben Chilwell, Marc Cucurella, Robert Sanchez, Wesley Fofana, Lesley Ugochuckwu and Romeo Lavia.
One to watch for the visitors will be Cole Palmer, who has fitted in at Stamford Bridge comfortably and has scored six goals and three assists so far this season.
For Wolves, I believe one to watch in this game will be fan favourite Hwang Hee-chan. Who has scored eight goals and provided two assists this season.
