After a tough week for Wolves fans with Sako looking set to sign for West Bromwich and Michael Jacobs leaving, we wanted to end the week on positive thoughts. So this week’s question to the Fancast writers – What was your favourite moment from last season?
Ryan Plant
Has to be Dave Edwards’ last gasp goal against Leeds towards the end of the season.
The game itself was a cracker and finished 4-3, but for ‘Dangerous’ Dave to come on and score a trademark goal to silence the Leeds fans was bliss.

David Edwards’ late winner in the crazy match against Leeds. He’s a much derided player, mainly by me, but it was a great moment, helped by the fact I was watching it in Stellenbosch, playing pool against a South Africa para-athlete.
David Handley
Blackpool at home. For the first 70 minutes the match itself was awful, draw, dull rubbish. But that wasn’t the point that day, it was about Sir Jack – saying thank you and celebrating a man who was, and always will be ‘one of our own.’ Consequently the spotlight was taken away from a certain Mr, O’Hara who i’m sure will be in for a much tougher ride from the Wolves fan this season when he lines up for Fulham (unless he is alongside a certain Scottish midfielder…)

My favourite moment from last season was Henry’s bullet goal v Bolton away from home. It had been an enjoyable away day but Bolton were about to claim three points (somehow).
Wolves pressed late on but nothing would happen in the last third. Then, out of no-where, Afobe glances the ball to Henry, who from 30 yards strikes a shot in the top left hand corner to hand Wolves a deserved point. The euphoria in the away end was unreal and something I will never forget.
Tom Tracey
Dave Edwards late header against Leeds to secure a 4-3 victory in April was the highest moment of elation for me. We looked secure at 3-1 but let it slip to 3-3 before Edwards’ winner got us back into the play-off picture, even if it was short-lived. There was a real sense of togetherness at the club having beaten Derby and then Forest in the two games prior which unfortunately began to unfurl with a loss at St Andrews. But I do not remember celebrating a goal as wildly as Edwards’ for quite a while.

My favourite moment was the opening game against Norwich. Prior to the game I, as were many fans, was anxious about how the team was going to fare in the coming season. That performance put the team on the right path and filled Molineux with confidence.

I’m going to cheat and have two favourite moments, as my second one is very small.
My favourite moment from last year’s campaign was Forest away – it was at that point where I felt we were really going to push on and make the play offs. It also featured a fantastic solo goal from Benik Afobe; I knew at that point we had a special player on our hands.
My second favourite moment was Jack Price chopping down Jamie O’Hara at Molineux. Price-less.
