Day 3 of advent, and who better to be behind today’s door than Lee Naylor
Naylor came through at Wolves in the late 90’s alongside Robbie Keane. His cultured left foot made him a menace from set pieces. During Wolves promotion campaign in 2002/03, he formed an excellent partnership with Mark Kennedy down the left flank.
He stayed at Wolves until 2006, when a move to Scotland came after Celtic made a bid for him involving Charlie Mulgrew heading south. Naylor went on to play a centruy of games for the Hoops, playing in high profile games in the Champions League.
The left back found himself out of the game for over a year before finding a club after leaving Celtic, signing for Accrington Stanley (who are they?) in 2013.
Naylor most recently played for Derby County last season as a squad player and although he hasn’t officially retired, he remains unattached.
