    Two weeks until Christmas eve, better start present shopping at Fancast HQ. Behind today Fancast Advent, Mark Kennedy.

    Kennedy was a mainstay on the left side of the Wolves midfield for the first half of the 00’s.

    Signing in 2001 from Man City, Kennedy formed a strong partnership with Lee Naylor down the flank, giving the team balance and width.

    The Irishman was a key player during the promotion campaign of 2003 and wrote himself into Wolves folklore when he score the first goal against Sheffield United in the playoff final.

    Kennedy stayed at Wolves following relegation and under Hoddle, played in a variety of positions under the managers ‘interesting’ tactics.

    He left in 2006 after turning down a new deal and moved the Crystal Palace. He went on to play for Cardiff and Ipswich and now is part of the coaching staff and Portman Road.
