A View from the opposition – Middlesbrough

    By matt | Richard Hobbs | 0 comment | 4 March, 2016 | 0

The Fancast caught up with Middlesbrough forum oneBoro before Wolves play Boro tonight

Boro seem to have recovered from last seasons play off final disappointment, do you think this could finally be your year?

It was certainly feeling like it could be our year before 2016 came along! However, results recently haven’t been that of a promotion chasing team. Boro fans are hoping this is a minor blip and I’m still feeling optimistic… I’m saying yes!

You’ve spent big money of Jordan Rhodes in January, is he the man who’ll fire you into the Premier league?

Jordan Rhodes joined with high expectations and although the goals aren’t coming as quickly as we’d have liked, you can see the difference he brings to the team. I still think we’ll see goals spread across the team, rather than Rhodes being out ahead on goal count.

Goals seem to have been spread across the team and being strong at the back. Who do Wolves have to look for on Friday night?

Gastón Ramírez springs to mind here, having joined Boro on loan in January. He has the ability to change the game.

The likes of Stuanni, Downing and Nugent seem to get a lot of the praise, who from the side doesn’t get as much recognition as they deserve?

Boro keeper Dimi Konstantopoulos has an incredible record this season. Although his name will be next to the clean-sheets, in the games where we have conceded Dimi has produced some world class saves to keep us in it. Daniel Ayala and Ben Gibson’s partnership also goes unnoticed at times.

Which one player from the League would you like to play for Middlesbrough?

Andre Gray – guaranteed goals (although we thought this about Rhodes).

Who do you think is the most dangerous player in the Wolves team?

I’ll admit, I had to look on the oneBoro Forum for this, but James Henry and George Saville have been identified as key players.

Wolves record against Boro is pretty dreadful. With this being boro’s 3 game in six days, will Wolves get a result or will you just be too strong for you?

If you had asked me before Blackburn, I’d be confident about Friday evening. I think our squad depth will just be too much though and I see a cagey 1-0 to Boro.

What do you think the score will be, let us know on twitter @wwfcfancast
